What is a space clearing?
Reviving sluggish energy in buildings is the goal of space cleaning.
The clearing of space is a common practice in all traditional civilizations. You may consider it an advanced form of housekeeping, but it is just as critical to a location's energetic upkeep as regular cleaning tasks are.
I originated the word “space clearing” in 1978 to describe the ceremony I've been developing since then, and it has subsequently become a generic term for many kinds of energy cleansing approaches. Only my space clearing ritual can be guaranteed to work, and that's what you'll find in my website and in all my books. Various techniques, like as clapping and bellowing, are employed in a specified order and in a precise manner.
Why space clearing is necessary
It's like dropping a stone in a pond: everything that happens in a building has an effect on the surrounding environment. The furniture, the floor, the ceiling, the walls, and other elements of the space all bear witness to this. Astrological imprinting is achieved by embedding it within the structure itself. An incident that elicits powerful emotions or trauma is the most strongly imprinted of all repeating actions and behaviors. After a fight, you can really feel the tension in the air when you go into a room. It is common to hear people comment, “You could have cut the air with a knife!,” which means there was such a dense atmosphere that the dispute was almost tactile.
In the same way that everyday life generates physical cleaning and tidying, etheric trash is also generated, and this leaves a stale residue in the home. Many decades of energy build-up have been removed from ancient ancestral homes that I've had the privilege of clearing. Also, I've cleared out 10-year-old buildings that seemed nearly as crowded as the newer ones because of the volume of people's thoughts and emotions that passed through them during that time period.
Astral imprints can also be removed through the space clearing ceremony outlined in myCreating Sacred Space with Feng Shuibook, which is meant to assist people in removing stagnant energy from their own homes.
Who needs space clearing?
Almost everybody. It is rare to find a building that is so well-designed that it does not require regular clearing of space. When it comes to building maintenance, many people now include space clearing as part of their routine to ensure that their surroundings are as clean as they are physically clean and free of clutter. Thousands of individuals have written to me to tell me how they've had amazing results by doing this.
How often does space clearing need to be done?
In the event of a significant life transition, such as the beginning or termination of a new relationship or employment, it is advisable to perform an annual full space clearing ceremony as soon as possible. Maintenance space clearing every three months or even every month is an option if you have a hectic schedule or are through a difficult moment (maintenance space clearing is described in my book).
Professional space clearing
Space clearing can be learned by anyone who is physically fit and healthy by following the instructions in my book. Professional space clearing training is significantly more difficult than training to clear your own home. Prior to beginning training with me, individuals must have spent a significant amount of time working on their subtle body structures and their ability to perceive energy. Only those who can consistently perform at the required level can expect to be certified at the end of their 300-hour training program. There is currently no guarantee of certification. Feng shui advisors in the West are increasingly numerous, but only a few qualified space clearing practitioners remain.
Many people who claim to have been trained by me on the internet have just read my book or attended a weekend workshop, not actually been instructed by me. There are also some who attempted my training in the past but were unable to complete it due to lack of time or resources. My Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program is mandatory for all of my employees, but some of them haven't completed it in the past few years.
People who are not included in the International Directory of Practitioners on this website provide a different level of space clearing than the certified practitioners I have directly taught.
The difference between space clearing & feng shui
Having a steady flow of clear, lively energy in your home and business is essential for a successful life. Feng shui is a well-organized body of knowledge that teaches us how to construct structures in such a way that the positive energy flowing around us is maximized. On this basis, we learn how to maintain chi's vitality in our lives by harmonizing the components of nature in our surroundings.
For thousands of years, traditional societies have used a style of feng shui called “feng shui” that is distinct from that known in the West and easily adaptable to the Western way of life. The detrimental effects of electromagnetic fields, which are now so pervasive in our houses, are not taken into consideration by traditional systems, and geopathic stress is not checked before placing important furniture like beds, tables, sofas, and chairs. It's also possible that certain modern feng shui methods have been influenced by regional superstitions or New Age philosophies. However, the fundamental ideas of Buddhism have not changed since they were first articulated and put into practice thousands of years ago.
It's rare to find a structure in the West that doesn't have any places where energy is trapped. It's common practice to design a space without considering how much energy will flow around it, and this can lead to additional issues like awkwardly placed furniture. The overall feng shui of a location and the activities of the people who dwell it determine how much trapped energy accumulates. In cases where a feng shui expert has done everything he or she can but the problem still hasn't changed or hasn't improved enough, space clearers are frequently called in to aid.
The difference between space clearing & clutter clearing
One of the required preparatory procedures for a space clearing ritual is to clean the clutter. If you don't intend to perform the ceremony or even know about it, you can still perform it on your own. It generally focuses on getting rid of physical clutter, but there are also deeper layers that handle mental, emotional, and spiritual clutter. People tend to start with physical clutter and then move on to the more intangible but just as important sorts of clutter removal. You can find out more here.
Why is space clearing important?
The most obvious moment to perform space cleaning is when you move into a new home, so you can clear out the energy of the previous tenants. It will never fully be yours unless you do this. Everything you do there will be affected by the energy of the past, even if you don't realize it.
If you're moving into a fully new building that has never been occupied before, you may think this rule doesn't apply. However, in my experience, clearing up physical space is quite beneficial. It removes any lingering energies left behind by the builders and restores harmony to the area, making it immediately seem like a home. It can take a long time for this to happen if you don't clear up the clutter.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, sick, or don't feel secure doing space clearing on your own, it's better to call in a professional to undertake the first space cleaning for you. By carefully following the procedures in my book, most people can perform annual space clearings to maintain their home's energy. The first and most difficult step in organizing your home is also the most crucial.
Be wary, though, of individuals who claim to be “space clearing practitioners” yet have no formal training. Even though they are well-intentioned, they can wreak a lot of damage if they don't know what they're doing. If a person's name does not appear in the International Directory of Practitioners on my website, it means that they either did not complete a professional training with Richard and I, did not meet the standards required for certification, or did not take annual Continuing Professional Development training. If you have any questions about a practitioner's credentials, feel free to contact them via email.
How do you clean things in Feng Shui?
If you don't have access to a magical ally like Karina, you can still extend the life of your cures and enhancers by cleaning them yourself.
Make sure they're not rusted, damaged, or broken before you do anything else. For the past year, you and your family have been protected by annual feng shui remedies, which have now exhausted their ability to keep you and your loved ones safe. A lot of the unpleasant energies they've guarded you from, such as a sickness or an accident, have been absorbed by them. Because of this, cleansing and re-energizing your remedies is essential before putting them back in place for another year of protection. Cures that aren't cleansed and re-energized properly will no longer have the ability to protect you, and this is an extremely risky approach to conduct Feng Shui.
Using salt is the most straightforward option. It must be coarse sea salt or rock salt. Artificial salt must never be used. There are a variety of ways to use salt, including dissolving it in water or rubbing it all over the cures or boosters before drying them. When using the salt “bath,” be careful not to scratch or damage brass or bronze objects, and be cautious when using the salt “bath” on metal products, lest it rust. The salt will remove all the bad vibrations that the cure or booster picked up and absorbed over the course of the previous year. It's important to get rid of anything that isn't necessary before you begin, like earth from a five-element pagoda. Allow the remedies and enhancers to soak in the sun for several hours after cleaning to re-energize them completely. You can also use mantras or reiki to enhance the power of your things.
Saffron water can also be used as an alternative. Mantra plaques, sacred Buddhist pictures, and crystal balls or gems benefit greatly from this method's effectiveness (and gentleness!). Three hours in saffron water set out in the morning sun is all that's required. This spice is readily available in most nations, and while it may be a little pricy in some areas, its benefits far outweigh the costs. You can use saffron water to clean your belongings after soaking them for an hour. Of course, you may use this saffron sun water to clean all of your other feng shui treatments, plaques, and figurines.
Despite this, I still advise not reusing your treatments too frequently. Even with adequate cleansing, they still get fatigued and lose part of their effectiveness.
White paper can be used to dispose of old cures, such as five element pagodas, windchimes, or wu lous. You can avoid this by planting them in the north, northwest, or southwest corners of your garden. However, be sure to check the ailments of the year to avoid disturbing the Tai Sui or the Three Killings (which in fact only leaves you the WEST in 2018 to bury your exhausted feng shui cures).
The Tai Sui plaques of previous years can be stored in a cupboard by wrapping them in black fabric and putting them away.
How do you declutter feng shui?
Every year, Kingston recommends at least one major decluttering and stresses that you can start at any moment. However, if you do it in the spring or at the beginning of a wet or dry season, when nature is in a state of rejuvenation, you may obtain even more mileage.
What is the best time of day to sage your house?
Burning sage when moving into a new house or business space is a great way to cleanse the previous owner's energy and set your own intentions for the room. However, you can sage your home whenever you feel like it, whether you're trying to reset your energy or just take a break from your work. Sage is also an excellent practice when entertaining guests or hosting a party.
“As a doctor, I do it in the breaks between appointments. Instead of smoking in the office, I designed the REMIX Clear Aromatherapy Spray to purge the space of any unwanted energy. The spray, which contains sage, rose, and eucalyptus, is an excellent alternative to setting objects on fire to purify a space (like an office). Even her PC and iPhone are subject to Giselle's wrath. “There is absolutely no doubt that they are in need of it!”
How to sage your home 101
The wand can be lit from one end. To enable the leaves to slowly smolder and billow out smoke, carefully extinguish the flame. Blow on it to release additional smoke and fan the smolder, but keep your face at least two feet away because it's common for little sparks of ash to break off and fly towards your face.
Set a purpose for yourself and then begin to move through the rooms of your house with it in mind. You can get rid of unpleasant vibes by starting in one corner and pushing energy toward the door. Avoid wafting in areas with high foot traffic like hallways and entrances, and pay particular attention to corners and mirrors. Windows should also be given special care.
Always remember that you have a flaming thing in your hands, so don't go overboard with the waving. Also, keep an eye out for any ashes that may have dropped and make sure to dispose of them right away. As you proceed, catch the ashes in an abalone shell or other fireproof dish.
What is a Feng Shui Cure?
When it comes to the flow of energy in our homes, feng shui is an old Asian discipline of placement. When we pay attention to how our homes impact us and vice versa, we're practicing mindfulness.
Cures (also known as adjustments) are used by Feng shui practitioners in order to change the energy of a location. A large number of these adjustments are made by altering the physical environment in order to redirect qi, or energy.
How do you cleanse a room with sound?
There are bells, sound bowls, coins, drums, pounding on a table and even flicking an empty wine glass that you may use to create sounds. Clapping is easy if you have only your hands available. Find out what type of music you like best by playing around with various household items.
How do I cleanse my space with sound?
Open the windows in the room you want to ‘cleanse,' then go in there and do the same (so the negative vibes can clear out). Then let out a roar! You can begin in the middle of the room and work your way out to each corner.
How do I know if the sound cleanse worked?
It's critical to pay attention to the timbre of your output. That region is more dense and crowded if the noise is more muffled. You may have to repeat the sound a few times before you begin to hear a difference in the quality of the sound. With regular use, you'll acquire an ear for the sounds that clear your mind and body of negativity.
Most importantly, you'll notice a difference in the air quality the next time you enter the room. Even better, you'll have a nice feeling about yourself. Ahhh.
How do you energize items in Feng Shui?
Smudging is another effective way to purify the aura; use sage or high-quality incense and smudge the area surrounding your treatment for six to nine hours on a candle-lit altar.
When cleaning your Feng Shui treatments, you can use salt, which is well-known for its cleansing characteristics. The surface of your treatment can also be cleaned with salt water.
Feng Shui treatments come in a variety of forms, and here are a few examples to make the process easier for you:
You can utilize any or all of the ways listed above for crystal and stone Feng Shui treatments, such as genuine crystals and statues/items created from stone.
Burying your treatments in salt for three days will deep clean your crystals and stones.
Sun or moon water, as well as sage or incense and candles/fire energy, are the finest approaches for metal-based Feng Shui remedies (different sculptures, coins, and wind chimes, for example).
Sage and incense can be used to smudge around Feng Shui treatments like plants and fish. For a few days, relocating them to another location recharges their batteries.
Smudging and incense are the greatest way to cleanse the space around Feng Shui art, paintings, wooden sculptures, etc. that are part of your home or office decor. They can be temporarily relocated as well.
Feng Shui cures are often cleansed over a 3-day period (72 hours), although a 7-day period (168 hours) can also be used if necessary. The moon cycle is another factor that is frequently taken into account. It is better to cleanse during the waning moon (the interval between full and new moons).
Between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. is the best time of day to cleanse your Feng Shui cures. The cleansing process should never begin at night.
Can I reuse Feng Shui cures?
If we clean and revitalize Feng Shui things properly, they can be utilized for many years. Before the Chinese New Year, our home is no different.
How do you activate the 5 Element Pagoda?
Feng Shui has a few affliction star numbers that you should be aware of. But the number 5, known as the 5 yellow, is the one everyone should be most aware of. There are several reasons for this, including the fact that 5 is a powerful earth star that brings a wide range of afflictions, including financial loss, unforeseen barriers, and the sudden emergence of severe danger.
As far as Feng Shui goes, everyone succumbs to the powerful effect of the number 5. It's important to know if there are more than three 5s in the same area of your house in order to gauge the severity of your 5 Yellow infestation. Metal energy can be used to correct the situation, for example, if the mountain star is 5, all occuring in the same sector, for those whose primary gateway is placed there.
You should keep in mind that the worst-case scenario is if the 5 Yellow star number afflictions of this type occur in a sector containing the front door, as this will bring dreadful misfortune affects to the entire family.
It is only those in the bedroom that are affected by the 5 Yellow star ailment. Indeed, some Feng Shui gurus think it is a good idea to leave the room during the time the 5 Yellow is in effect because it is so potent.
Feng Shui Remedies On How To Overcome The 5 Yellow Star Afflictions
The best Feng Shui therapy for the 5 yellow is to use metal energy to actually exhaust the earth energy of the number, according to numerous Feng Shui experts and practitioners from ancient times.
Thus, a wind chime made entirely of metal is a great way to keep the 5 yellow at bay. Aside from that, metal tones released by the wind chimes help to alleviate the 5 yellow's symptoms.
Using a brass five-element pagoda, as we are in era 8, is said to be more effective. The reason for this is that the 8th period is an earth phase during which the 5 yellow gets much stronger and more powerful. Conventional and powerful Feng Shui treatment for the 5 yellow is the five element pagoda.
How To Use The 5 Element Pagoda And Where To Place It
Using the five-element pagoda cure, I've found that unscrewing each of the charm's five element shapes, then stuffing it full of dirt from your garden, is the most effective method I've found in my years of Feng Shui study. The ground should be sealed inside the pagoda at this point. The 5 Yellow will be rendered useless as a result of this.
From then on in 2016, it is recommended that you place or hang the five-element Pagoda in your home or room to align with the 2016 North-East 5 Yellow.
What is bad luck in Feng Shui?
Flowers with thorns (excluding roses, ugh) are said to bring bad luck and negative energy into your home, according to Feng Shui theory. It's time to bid goodbye to your plant if you neglect to water it and its leaves become brown. Dry flowers are considered bad luck, even if you keep them in your pocket.
