People with varied spiritual beliefs and practices may approach public communication in the workplace differently depending on their religious background. Here are a few language-specific considerations:

• certain words or phrases that may be prohibited, such as irreverently pronouncing the name of a god
• Using communication means that have been sanctioned by religion. Some religious groups, for example, may discourage the use of social media as a means of maintaining modesty, preventing access to content that can lead to impure thinking, or avoiding potentially inappropriate talks between unmarried or unrelated individuals.
