What Is A Spiritual Heart Attack

When I felt dizzy, I was on the tennis court, ready to receive serve. The next thing I hear are emergency personnel's radio conversations as I'm being wheeled to the waiting ambulance. That threw me into an unforeseen crash course on heart illness, which included learning how to recognize the signs and symptoms of heart failure.

Heart failure, contrary to popular belief, does not always imply heart stoppage and death. It simply implies that the heart isn't doing its job. Evidently, it manifests itself in various ways in different persons. Shortness of breath was the telling indication for me.

Spiritual heart failure is also a severe issue that affects us all. The heart fails to fulfill its duty of loving God and neighbor. It has a tendency to be sluggish and indifferent in God's goods.

How can you know if you're suffering from spiritual heart failure? There are at least six symptoms that we can identify.

Weekly worship attendance becomes voluntary and infrequent. We were created to glorify God. He sought us out and led us to worship Him as the true and living God, turning our hearts away from idols. Weekly worship is sometimes overlooked as an indication of spiritual arrhythmia in the heart.

A prayer life that isn't very deep. Regular prayer, like shortness of breath and a fight for oxygen, does not take in the oxygen of God's grace in constant knowledge of Him and dependence on Him. This syndrome is characterized by shallow prayer breaths that do not fill the lungs or panic hyperventilation during times of intense distress.

Indifference to the gospel. The gospel has lost its power to enliven a diseased heart. The adrenaline of God's grace does not animate our life with the wonderful love of God in the giving of His Son. God's means of restoring our fading spirit are Christ's preaching and the sacraments.

An insufficient nutrition and a lack of hunger. In His Word, God has provided us with all the nutrition we require for our growth in grace. However, we are content to nibble on a nugget now and then, rather than absorbing its gospel depth through thought.

Inactivity. A heart that is not strengthened by service becomes feeble. Unlike the One whose heart was in perfect condition, it appears to be serving rather than being served.

Spiritual despondency. Arteriosclerosis, or heart hardness, is characterized by apathy for God's things and tolerance for what dishonors Him. Isolation from fellow believers, which should encourage us to practice love and protect us from the deception of sin, is one element leading to this state.

What can we do about spiritual heart failure? First, there's the issue of heart health. “Maintain vigilance over your heart, for it is from it that the streams of life flow” (Proverbs 4:23). Second, the Great Physician's presence. “God, search me and know my heart. Try me out and see what I have to say. And examine me to see whether there is any painful way in me, and lead me in the way that is everlasting” (Psalm 139:23–24). Finally, Christ Himself is that everlasting way.

What does spiritual heart mean?

Our essential and ultimate nature is Hridaya, the Spiritual Heart. It is the indescribable aspect of our being. It's a different term for atman (the Supreme Self). The Supreme Consciousness, the ultimate Subject, the pure “I,” is the Spiritual Heart. It's the Witness Consciousness, our own observer of all our thoughts, feelings, and experiences, as well as the entire Universe in both its inner and outer dimensions.

Do we have a spiritual heart?

The physical heart is the biological organ that we are all familiar with. It continuously circulates blood, supplying oxygen and energy to all cells. This heart, which is placed in the left chest, is essential to the body's survival. The Anahata, or heart chakra, is an energy center in the subtle body that is placed in the middle of the chest. For the most part, something is partially stuck or blocked, resulting in bodily and emotional difficulties. The spiritual heart, which is somewhat to the right of the body's midline, is the most important heart. Only serious spiritual searchers who are on a quest to understand the True Self inside can glimpse this heart.

What does it mean to have a spiritual change of heart?

A worldly change of heart entails just changing one's thoughts, opinion, or goal. A godly change of heart is similar to a mental or intentional change, but it serves a different goal. It leaves you with “no longer a desire to do evil, but a constant desire to do good.” Yes, you deviate from your original path, but you do so in the direction of God.

The Spirit of the Lord Omnipotent, according to King Benjamin's people, was responsible for the shift.

“He altered their hearts; He awakened them out of a profound sleep, and they awoke unto God,” Alma said, praising God (who is, of course, a close companion of the Spirit).

So a godly change of heart entails more than simply going backwards.

It's going to the place where God is.

It's a process of turning away from something and then returning to God.

“Yielding your heart to God,” as Neill F. Marriott puts it.

Her family's credo is founded on the Lord's power and kindness, she explained.

“It will all work out,” their family motto (which is a surrender of their collective hearts to God) says.

Marriott shared the story of her family's tragedy when her 21-year-old daughter was killed in a biking accident.

How could we look at each other and say, “It will all work out” when grief and shock were coursing through our family like a current?

Our sentiments were fresh after Georgia's death, we battled, and we still have moments of immense sorrow, but we believe that no one truly dies. Despite our grief when Georgia's physical body stopped working, we had trust that she continued to life as a spirit, and we believe that if we keep our temple promises, we will live with her forever. Faith in our Redeemer and His Resurrection, faith in His priesthood authority, and faith in eternal sealings enable us to confidently express our slogan.

“If you do your best, it will all work out,” President Gordon B. Hinckley remarked. Put your faith in God… The Lord will never abandon us.” 4

“It will all work out now,” is not our family mantra. It expresses our faith in the eternal outcome rather than immediate outcomes. “Search attentively, pray continuously, and believe, and all things will work together for your benefit,” the Bible says. This isn't to say that everything is good, but for the meek and loyal, all things—both good and bad—work together for their good, and the Lord determines the timing. We wait on Him, as Job did in his trials, knowing that God “maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole.” A gentle heart accepts the test and waits for the time of healing and completeness to arrive.

A change of heart is like saying, “Teach me that which I do not see,” as Job did. (Job 34:32) If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, use A change of heart is dependence on and confidence in our Father in Heaven to take care of all the things He said He would when He sent Jesus Christ to atone for our sins, injustices, disappointments, and sufferings of life, rather than relying on ourselves and our limited worldly knowledge. Peace—a depth and completeness of peace that Paul described as “peace that passeth all understanding”—comes with a change of attitude. (4:7) (Philippians 4:7) (Philippians 4:8) (Philipp

I've had life goals and expectations that required a “reversal of intention” on my side when the Spirit told me, “Here's what you need to do instead,” or after God put things in my life that I wouldn't have chosen.

It's the best thing I've ever done to put my faith in Him.

Sometimes I see the conclusion, and sometimes I don't, but it makes no difference.

I know that if I surrender my heart to Him, everything will work out.

It's as if we've become a new person after going through this powerful transformation, which comes only through faith in Jesus Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. As a result, the transformation is compared to a new birth. Thousands of you have noticed a difference. You have given up lives of sin, sometimes profound and offensive sin, and have become clean by putting the blood of Christ to your lives. You have lost all desire to go back to your previous lifestyle. In actuality, you are a very different person. This is what a change of heart entails.

One of the main reasons I've opted to surrender my heart to God is that I've done it before.

It worked the first time I did it a long time ago, so I kept doing it.

I know it's the best thing I can do because I've done it before.

I know I can put my life and heart in God's hands. Changing your thinking, direction, and intent to align with God's is a rich source of numerous gifts. The only way to live is to surrender your heart to God.

What is equivalent to a heart attack?

Although we all know that monthly cramps/period pain/whatever you want to call it can feel like being punched in the stomach from the inside out, explaining it to others (read: mostly males) can feel like a hopeless battle.

We suck it up and suffer in quiet, fearful of being dismissively diagnosed by coworkers and acquaintances with female ‘conditions' such as being ‘delicate,”dramatic,' or'oversharing.' It'll be added to the list…

But that is no longer the case. Menstrual cramps, or Dysmenorrhea as it's officially known, have now been deemed as unpleasant as a heart attack. Patients have characterized the cramping sensation as “nearly as awful as having a heart attack,” according to John Guillebaud, a professor of reproductive health at University College London.

How do I awaken my spirit?

The spiritual journey—and the resulting “spiritual awakening” we seek—always appears to take place in some exotic location or following a spectacular incident.

Perhaps you believe you need to travel to Peru to drink ayahuasca or leave your spouse to get the spiritual awakening you seek?

From the comfort of your own home, you may connect with your spirituality and awaken to the lessons that are meant for you over and over again throughout your life.

What does it means to guard your heart?

Proverbs 4:23-26 gives us the idea of guarding our hearts. All of the things that try to stop us are brought to mind. Being intelligent and discriminating in our lives entails guarding our hearts. As Christians, guarding our hearts means protecting ourselves from everything that could damage us. Every day, we must overcome temptations. We must discover solutions to overcome the doubts that inevitably arise. We keep our hearts guarded against all types of detours from our faith. Our hearts are delicate. We must do everything possible to safeguard it.

What does spiritual transformation feel like?

If you're hearing transformational murmurs, you might feel anxious or depressed in ways that are out of character for you. These emotions may make you want to sleep all the time or keep you from sleeping at all.

The key to getting through it is to simply listen to your body and respect it. Get up and read a book, write in a notebook, or listen to music if you can't sleep. If you're exhausted and need extra sleep, clear as much of your schedule as possible and give yourself permission to relax.
