Most Egyptologists believe the pyramids were built using the Egyptian royal cubit measurement, which is 523.55 mm and equals 7 palms and 1 palm = 4 digits (fingers). The Great Pyramid's theoretical dimensions in cubits are height: side = 280:440. (round figures that would be very valuable to the practical concerns of the builders in coordinating the work-force). This would also imply that the side length is 230.384 m, which is similar to Dash's most recent estimate of 230.329 m. However, because there is some debate over the cubit's equivalence in modern measurements, it is possible that if the side length is 230.329 m, the cubit actually measures 523.475 mm. The Great Pyramid's seked (horizontal run to a rise of one cubit) is estimated as 5 palms, two digits (5.5 palms). It is the same as a rise and run of 1411 (Fig. 4) and matches to the Great Pyramid's height and half base ratio (i.e. 280:220). The 10/9 arris (corner edge) corresponds to an apothem of 14/11 with a small approximation and affords excellent agreement (51°5039) to the predicted angle of 51°5034. The builders would have been able to check the accuracy of the structure by sighting the arris straight line. A simple measurement of the corner slant might potentially be used to determine the builders' intent after construction. The profile utilized for the job was thus a 14 rise on 11 base, according to Petrie (1883, 93).
In the Great Pyramid's design, sequential numbers appear to be 7, 14, 28, and 5.5, 11, 22, with multipliers of 4 and 10.
