Why did kisuke urahara create the Hogyoku?
Ssuke Aizen, who had already arrived at the same conclusion as Urahara, had built his own Hgyoku some time before Urahara even thought about it. Aizen presented the souls of hundreds of Shinigami and Rukongai residents to it when he realized it was still completed, but it was in vain. Aizen eventually discovered that Urahara's own Hgyoku was also incomplete after studying the research data. Keeping this in mind, Aizen set out to steal Urahara's Hgyoku and offer it to his own audience.
Ssuke Aizen set in motion an experiment that would put the true capabilities of the Hgyoku to the test some 101 years before his defection from Soul Society. He forcibly Hollowficated Shinji Hirako and a number of other Shinigami captains and lieutenants with the help of his men. Kisuke Urahara used the Hgyoku on them in an attempt to undo the damage Aizen had done. While it was successful in stabilizing their souls, it was unsuccessful in undoing the Hollowfication. Kisuke, who had been blamed by Aizen for the event, fled to the world of the living with a gang of Shinigami, bringing his Hgyoku with him. After obtaining mastery of their newfound Hollow abilities, the Shinigami became known as the Visored, rogues thought to have obtained Hollow abilities through unlawful methods.
